Our School Play Areas
Friday 11th May
In Design Technology we have been looking at structures, we are now going to design structures that could go on our playground.
Geography lessons have also been exciting, we have found local schools on maps and plan to visit them to see what their play areas are like so we can compare them with our own. Our school has a playground, an area where we can play in any weather and a field. However, the field does not just belong to us, so the general public walk on it too. We would love to hear from any other schools, what are your play areas like? Do you have lots of play equipment? Hope to hear from you soon!
All grown up
Monday ~ Day 8
Over the weekend our baby chicks have changed so much. They have grown feathers on their wings and are quite a bit bigger. This afternoon we are going to have them out on the carpet. We hope they won’t poo everywhere!
Chicktastic
Thursday/Friday ~ Day 4/5
Our 10 lovely chicks are all doing well.
They are eating chick-stock (pelets) at the moment and drinking water.
They are all looking much more confident and their strength has improved.
Trev is taking them home for the weekend. We are going to miss them.
Down on the allotment.
At Priestsic School we are lucky enough to have our own allotment. This week we went there as part of our Materials Science Project. We are making a Viking board game and have decided that the best material to use for the playing pieces would be small stones. Here are some we gathered along with pictures from our allotment.
Can you guess what type of flowers Yr 6 are growing for Mother’s Day?
Thankyou!
Thank you everyone for your fantastic comments. They were all really helpful and have given us lots of ideas for our class blog. Fellow bloggers are all so friendly! We look forward to getting in touch with all the schools that have left us comments.
This week we have been busy writing instructions for magic tricks and have also performed a magic show to Years 1 and 2. We have even made weapons and armour and dressed up as Viking warriors to raid the other Year 3 class!! Keep visiting our blog to see pictures of all the fun we have here in Year 3.
Welcome Everyone!
Hello, we have just set up our class blog.
We are Miss Dunnell’s Year 3 class at Priestsic Primary School in Nottinghamshire.
We are really excited about blogging but we are also a little bit nervous as we have never done this before. Have you got a classroom blog? If so are there any tips you could share with us?
Thankyou, we hope to hear from lots of you soon.
